So New York Magazine came up with a list of people to possibly fill Walter Cronkite's shoes as the Most Trusted Person in America.  Not sure if the link will work, but here it is.  It's an interesting list.  However, out of the people listed, the only one I would probably put in that category would be Tom Brokaw and he'd probably refuse the title.

One of the true legends of American Journalism has passed away.  Walter Cronkite was an icon.  He was a part of history.  He was there for the moon landing and he was there to tell the world that President Kennedy had been killed.  Network News was never the same after he retired.  Dan Rather had massive shoes to fill when he took over.  He did a good job, but there was only one Walter Cronkite.

Rest In Peace Walter.  You will be missed.
