I must say that last night was the first time in a long time I got jazzed over the election returns.  When I saw Barack Obama at the 2004 Democratic Convention, I knew he would run for President.  I knew he would win.  I just didn't know it would be so soon.  I am thrilled for him, for Joe Biden and for our country.  I think that Senator McCain and Govenor Palin just thought that because they are "mavericks" that would be enough to seal the election.  They were wrong.

History was made last night.  History will continue to be made in this country.  There will be a female president.  There will be a female vice-president.  It didn't happen this year, but it will happen.

I wish President-Elect Obama and Vice-President-Elect Biden the best of luck. They're going to need it.
