Primeval

While I am thrilled that the BBC, ITV and UKTV have reached a deal for a new season of Primeval, I am not thrilled about the idea Juliet Aubrey put forward.  She wants Helen to come back.  That so does not work for me.

If they want to bring characters back from the dead, bring back Steven or Nick, or both.  Both were way better characters than Helen.  And not to hard on the eyes either.

Perhaps they will be able to fix time lines with this new season.

I'm not holding my breath. The only people who knew the timeline was different were Nick (dead), Helen (dead), and Connor (because Nick told him). Even Nick seemed to forget about restoring the old timeline after awhile.

This has been my biggest beef with Primeval. The showrunners don't seem to have any plan in mind for where the show is going; they just pull things out of their asses as they go along. As a result, storylines pop up, only to disappear and never be heard from again without any kind of resolution like the writers just forgot about them.

It would be nice if there was some consistency in the storytelling. That's a beef I have with some of my shows. And now they want to do an American version. Yeah, that'll work.
