I went into work today and sat down at my desk. I logged onto the computer. I had just started to get my stuff out when my boss called me into the plant manager's office.  I walked in, they closed the door, asked me to sit, and what I have been anticipating for a couple of weeks happened. I got fired. They were like, we'll pay you for today.  I said I was going home. I told them I knew it was coming and had already started taking steps to find another job. I have an interview this afternoon and another one in the morning.

Of course, what I love is that when I went back to my desk to get my things, my computer was logged off.  My former co-worker had left the office by the time I came out of the plant manager's office, but before she did she logged off my computer.

Oh well, I'm glad it's over. I hate being unemployed, but I was getting sick to my stomach at just the thought of going in there every day.

Your 'former' co-worker logged OFF your computer ! Charming.

Good luck with the job hunt.

Yeah I thought that was charming as well.

I just got back from signing on with a temp agency. I have to call in every 48 hrs until they find me a job. Of course, I am not going to just sit around and wait for that to happen. I'm still looking and applying.

Well, that is a relief. No more sick feelings at the thought of work and that ex co-worker of yours is the pits - the hide of her logging off your computer!!

I'm sure you'll find something much better very soon.

It is a relief. What I love is that from the time she was hired she acted like she was my friend. I don't know everything that happened but things took a nose dive after I went on vacation a couple of weeks ago.

I have my fingers crossed that I'll find something soon.
