Our local paper has a question in it every week.  This week's question asked people what new fall television show they were looking forward to.  One guy said Life on Mars because it's about space and Mars!  Has he not paid any attention to the ads for the show?  I'll cut him some slack because he probably never heard of the British version, but come on!  The ads very clearly show that it's about a police officer in an accident and waking up in 1973.  Where does he get the planet Mars from that?  People are stupid sometimes.

What's the saying ... men are from Mars women are from Venus ... men don't have a clue :)

Tell me about it. I can only hope he's not too disappointed when he sees the actual show.

I must admit that when I started talking about this show, my son thought it was a space thing. BUT we had not heard of it here generally, I only got an idea of it from posts on LJ. It wasn't shown here until ages later.

Sounds like this guy had not seen the ads. or, as you say, is just plain stupid.

I must admit, I probably would have thought the same thing if I hadn't seen the ads for the orginal series on BBC America.
