I just got finished watching Chess in Concert on PBS.  I admit I wasn't totally familiar with the musical before I watched it tonight.  I had heard some songs like One Night in Bangkok, Pity the Child, Anthem and, of course, I Know Him So Well.  My big attraction was the fact that Adam Pascal was in it.  Of course, he didn't disappoint.  He did an excellent job with One Night in Bangkok and Pity the Child.  Josh Groban did a good job with Anthem.  Here's the thing about I Know Him So Well.  The first time I heard the song, John Barrowman and Daniel Boys were the ones singing it and I adore their version.  It's one of my favorite songs on John's Music Music Music CD.  Idina Menzel and Kerry Ellis did a good job wtih it.  In fact, my friend and I were like The Eplphba's were great.  (Kerry took over for Idina in Wicked on the West End)   I just happen to like John and Daniel's version better.  <G>

Oh, I did like Clarke Peters as the Global TV reporter Walter.  I like that there was a little bit of a Professionals moment during the concert.  When I saw him I told my friend "That's Ojuka!"  hehehe.

I believe that, once I get some money, I will be buying the DVD and the CD of this concert.
