It's fun to watch this play out on Twitter.  Between @Team_Barrowman and @ActuallyNPH it's getting fun, but hot.  They're not being mean, yet but they are having fun with it.  And John has totally discovered the joys of Twitter.  He's been twitting from the theater and from his sofa.
